ERASMUS+ MOBILITY FOR OUTGOING STUDENTS


ERASMUS+ STUDENT MOBILITY FOR SELF ORGANIZED TRAINEESHIPS IN THE 2ND SEMESTER OF THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2023/2024

 

The Medical School of the University of Pécs are calling for  applications for participating in the Erasmus+ Student Mobility for self-organized traineeships in the Academic Year 2023/2024. The winner students get the possibility to do practices at the universities of the program countries within the frame of the Erasmus+ program. The aim of the mobility can be a practice combined with the student’s study. The foreign practice has to be accepted by the sending institution and included in the student's progress in Hungary (with the number of credits awarded at UP). The Faculty can olny accept the traineeship if the practice place complies with the accreditalional rules of UPMS.

  • Duration of mobility abroad: min. 63 days - max. 90 days (3 months) 
  • Number of hours per week of the traineeship: min. 30 hours/week 
  • The mobility must take place between: 01.03.2024- 31.07.2024.
  • Currency of the grant: HUF 

Application Deadline: 15 May 2024 at 3.00 p.m.​  on Mobility Online surface.

Please note, that the Learning Agreement signed by the three parties (student, receiving institution, sending institution) must be uploaded to Mobility Online surface at least 1 month before the departure date. Otherwise the Erasmus+ internship cannot take place!

Mobility programs for Students in PhD Programme 

Erasmus+ Short-term doctoral mobility in the 2nd semester of the Academic Year 2023/2024

The University of Pécs Medical School calls for applications for participating in the Erasmus+ Short-term doctoral mobility in the Academic Year 2023/2024

The aim of the call for applications:

is to enable research, educational, linguistic and cultural experiences in a higher education institution in another country. Mobility should facilitate the student's academic/research career and personal development.

Erasmus+ students who are successful in their application will have the opportunity to

take part in a mobility programme to one of our partner universities in the European Union.

The aim of mobility is to research and to support the preparation of a dissertation. Mobility can only take place if the mobility abroad is accepted by the sending institution.

The possible duration of short-term mobility abroad is between 5 and 30 days.

The mobility must take place between: 01.03.2024- 19.07.2024.

Currency of the mobility: HUF

Method and deadline for submitting the application:

Applications are accepted continuously throughout the academic year, but the application deadline is 1-1,5 months before departure, at least until 14 June, 2024 on the Mobility Online interface.

LEARNING AGREEMENT FOR PHD STUDENTS

 

Students who do not receive travel support can opt for green travel. In this case, they will receive a single contribution of 50 EUR as a top-up amount to the individual support and up to 4 days of additional individual support to cover travel days for a return trip, if relevant.

Calls for application for scholarship

In accordance with the Dean's Instruction No. 1/2024 (II.19) of the University of Pécs Medical School (hereinafter referred to as the Faculty), the Committee on International Affairs calls for applications for the support of international student internships abroad up to the available fund, in order to adapt international good practices and to promote the international aspirations of the Faculty and international student mobility. The Faculty's international relations are extensive and it has several professionally recognised partners in countries with a higher cost of living. The purpose of the scholarship is to provide scholarships to students who have been granted a spot in one of the Faculty's mobility programmes and who have demonstrated outstanding professional performance, even if their financial circumstances are limited.

Students who have been awarded a place at one of the following institutions may apply for the scholarship:

  • Weill Cornell Medicine Medical College, New York, USA
  • Prince of Songkla University Medical School, Thailand
  • Keck School of Medicine of USC, Los Angeles, USA
  • Hungarian Medical Association of America (HMAA) exchange programmes
    • The Methodist Hospital, Houston, USA
    • UMass Chan Medical School, Worcester, USA
    • Dent Neurological Institute, Buffalo, USA

Amount of the grant: 200.000, HUF/month (for the duration of the mobility)

Pannónia Scholarship Program

 

Currently there is no application period! 

Long-term student mobilities for study purposes are student mobilities based on inter-institutional agreements, implemented with the purpose of obtaining credits, and directed to specific target countries, the duration of which is a minimum of 2 months and a maximum of 5 months.

Student mobilities for academic purposes can be implemented in any study area and cycle, including doctoral training. The study period abroad must be part of the student's study program aimed at obtaining a diploma within any study cycle, and the sending institutions must accept it and fully comply with the curriculum structure in terms of the time of student mobility in a proportional manner. The credit acquisition and recognition process must be recorded in the mobility agreement of the student participating in the mobility.

Duration of study mobility abroad: minimum 2 months - maximum 5 months

Period of study mobility: August 25, 2024 - February 10, 2025

Currency of the scholarship: HUF

According to the rules, the following departments of hospitals are considered to be accredited:

  • In the EU, Norway, Switzerland, the USA and Canada, the clinics of the state-accredited universities.
  • In the EU, Norway, Switzerland, the USA and Canada, the accredited teaching hospitals.
  • The list of foreign accredited practice places is available on the website of the Registrar's Office. 
  • Outside the EU, Norway, Switzerland, the USA and Canada only the hospitals accredited by the Hungarian Accreditation Committee (HAC or MAB) are to be accepted. The constantly updated list is available on the website of the Registrar’s Office.

DAAD Scholarships for Students

DAAD scholarships for study and research in Germany

Since 1925 the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) has established itself as one of the biggest organisations that encourage international exchange. DAAD membership numberes more than 230 higher education institutions and 120 student bodies.

The DAAD is a joint organisation of Germany’s higher education institutions and is responsible for promoting international academic relations, primarily through the exchange of students, academics and researchers. Its programmes are generally open to all disciplines and all countries and equally benefit foreigners and Germans.

GO STYRIA RESEARCH GRANT summer semester 2024

Go Styria is open for master and doctoral students as well as Post Docs interested in a short term research stay in the context of their master, doctoral thesis or Post-Doc research.

Candidates selected for the program will be given the opportunity for a research period at the University of Graz in order to then continue and conclude their studies / research at their home universities.

In line with the University of Pécs Medical School's strategy, the Medical School attaches great importance to the international experience of its students, and therefore intends to create a scholarship framework in order to make the participation in mobility programmes available to a wider range of students. The Medical School has numerous professionally outstanding exchange partners, where the support for students is justified by the high living costs. Therefore, the Medical School intends to provide support to students, who have successfully applied for a Faculty mobility programme, by setting up a scholarship scheme based on social circumstances and academic excellence.
