General Requirements

The applicants must graduate from a high school / senior secondary school before being admitted to the university. In case the applicant leaves high/secondary school in the year of application and school leaving certificate is not issued until the day of entrance exam, a certificate of completion of high/secondary school studies has to be attached and the school leaving certificate has to be presented until the registration the latest. To keep up with the European admission standards for medical education, the applicants are expected to have had excelled in basic science courses. They need a strong basic knowledge in biology and chemistry. If the applicant graduated from high school more than two years before applying, he/she may be advised to take a refresher course in the required subjects. The Premedical Courses offered by College International, might suite this needs.

Application Procedure

The applicants have to fill in an application form, attach the requested documents and mail it to the Student Service Center of University of Pécs Medical School (Szigeti út 12., H-7624 Pécs, Hungary) or they can also submit the file to the local representative of International Studies / College International in the applicant’s country (see list of representatives at www.studyhungary.hu). Please note that only fully completed application files should be considered by the Student Service Center. You will be notified of the receipt of the application material and of the date and place of the entrance examination. There are several examinations in Hungary and at different locations in Europe, Asia and the United States between February and July 2013. The deadline for applications is June 30, 2013. Upon request, late applications might be considered. Application forms are available from the Student Service Center, the local representatives of International Studies / College International, and the Hungarian Embassies in many countries. The examination fee is USD 250 if the exam is taken in Hungary. Should you take the examination in your home country, the representative will give you the details concerning the fees.
