The English-German Student Council (EGSC) of the Medical School and the local Committee of the Hungarian Association of Dental Students (MFHE/StuDent Pécs) organized a collection of donations for children in Pécs living in extreme poverty. The donations were handed over on 1 March at the Élmény Tár Tanoda in the framework of playful oral hygiene educational sessions and lectures.

During the charity campaign, which began before last Christmas and ended in recent days, various oral hygiene products - toothpaste, toothbrush, mouthwash - were collected and delivered to the Élmény Tár Tanoda in Pécs, which has been operating as a community space for disadvantaged children since 2010.

Dentistry students from Pécs gladly joined the program; dozens participated in the campaign. In addition to donations, the international team also provided useful oral hygiene information and practices to children coming mostly from micro segregations.

During the joyful day, the dentistry students - three Hungarian and three international students - gave lectures to the little ones and the adolescents in a playful way. They also illustrated the method of correct tooth brushing with the help of a large tooth model.

The small students of the Élmény Tár Tanoda welcomed the UP students and the donations.
