For an entire month, the University of Pécs, Clinical Centre, Department of Dentistry, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery will shine in festive splendour: from 1 to 31 December, the dental building will be illuminated with light projections, while the LED strip running along the rooftop will glow in the colours of the Advent candles.
This year marks the first time the clinic will receive Christmas-themed light projections. On the facades facing Tüzér Street and Szigeti Road, visitors will see intimate, holiday-inspired imagery, complemented by anatomy-themed artworks projected onto the building. Each week, the rooftop LED strip will glow in the colours of the Advent candles—purple and pink.
The light display will not disappear entirely after the Advent season. It will continue to illuminate the building in the colours of various international health awareness days, such as World Autism Awareness Day, World AIDS Day, and World Diabetes Day.
Parallel to the Dental Building’s light show, the newly renovated south park of the UP Medical School will also be decorated with festive lighting. Among the trees adorned with light garlands, a Christmas market will take place from 1 to 19 December. This year’s Advent celebrations can be enjoyed on the Pécs medical campus amid festive treats, decorations, and lights. The market is open not only to faculty staff, teachers, and students, but also to local residents.
