E-LEARNING ON PALLIATIVE CARE FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
ERASMUS+ project to enhance the quality of PC in the EU through a better and more uniform
education at the undergraduate level
With the collaboration of six European countries, the three-year long ERASMUS+ project aims at designing an internally coherent and comparable online undergraduate medical education program on palliative care, through the development of a theoretical educational framework. By running a trial with a group of students attending the course online and a control group attending face-to-face teaching, the effectiveness of the local implementations of the online courses on PC will be tested, compared and validated. The produced course content is in line with the basic competencies determined by the European Association of Palliative Care, and will be accessible in six national languages for the universities in Europe.
