Well-being heroes for physical and mental health and the School’s well-being

16 December 2024

A photo exhibition entitled “Our Everyday Well-being Heroes” was opened at the Dr. Endre Grastyán Theoretical Building of the UP Medical School, aiming to emphasize the importance of physical and mental well-being and what we can do as faculty citizens to achieve them.

The exhibition is part of the POTE Pillars Well-Being concept, which draws attention to the importance of physical and mental well-being in our environment and relationships. Well-being is an essential tool to ensure the satisfaction of staff and students at the Medical School, thus strengthening the School’s organisational immune system.

The pictures on the north ground floor of the new theoretical building show faculty members who are committed to doing something for their well-being in their everyday lives. They focus on healthy lifestyles, healthy eating, drinking enough water, moderate alcohol consumption, and they do not smoke.

They regularly participate in health screenings, exercise, and pay special attention to their mental health through relaxation, psychological counselling, and coaching sessions.

The photos are accompanied by personal messages from the School’s well-being heroes, giving an insight into their motivations and why they personally feel it is important to cultivate physical and mental well-being.
