Prototype Development

By combining the services offered by the UP Medical School 3D Centre, our staff is ready to guide our partners through even a complete prototype development process. We can handle every step of even the most complex development processes—from concept development through technical design to physical fabrication—which can result in a finished, market-ready product.

Our engineers translate ideas into CAD designs, keeping in mind feasibility, the desired physical characteristics of the target product, efficiency, and sustainability.

With the help of 3D printing and our materials testing lab, models can be cast into physical forms with the desired technical properties; our mechanical engineers and technicians are also capable of designing the necessary electronics and carrying out the required assembly.

If the characteristics of the target product depend on the physical dimensions and material properties of existing objects (e.g., component manufacturing), our 3D scanners also enable reverse engineering.

Numerous long-term, ongoing, and fruitful partnerships demonstrate that the UP MS 3D Centre is at the forefront of the interdisciplinary field of biomedical engineering.
