Professional representatives of MedTech4 Europe visited Pécs

The professional representatives of MedTech4 Europe, which brings together representatives from eight countries and deals with medical technology innovations, recently reviewed the latest professional developments in Hungary - writes medicalonline.hu. The main goal of the MedTech4 Europe project is for professionals to share their good practices.

As part of the Interreg program, participants of the MedTech4 Europe project visited the research and innovation centres of the University of Pécs, visited the 3D Centre where dr. Péter Maróti, R&D&I Professional Coordinator introduced the production and development of 3D printed medical devices.

The other main stop of the study visit was the János Szentágothai Research Centre, which, besides its research work, is also known for its application of state-of-the-art architectural solutions and the building is powered by renewable energy. Professor Ferenc Jakab, leader of the virology research group received the international delegation here.

Afterwards, the guests visited the Pécs Regional Blood Transfusion Centre of the Hungarian National Blood Transfusion Service where they could hear a report about the equipment of the building, the operation of the centre and the steps of the transfusion process. The program continued with workshops at the Palatinus Hotel where national and foreign professionals shared good practices, lessons, and experiences with each other.
