Invitation to the upcoming zoom lecture, embedded in the ERASMUS International Lecture Series ‘Translational Neuroscience’:

13 January 2021

Prof. Srećko Gajović - Zagreb University ‘Time aspects of brain damage and repair’

The next lecture of the ERASMUS International Lecture Series on “Translational Neuroscience” with the participation of UP MS (c.f. https://aok.pte.hu/en/hirek/hir/13278) is held on Wednesday, 13 January 2021 , 17.00 - 18.30 PM

This event’s lecturer,  Professor Srećko Gajović is Head of Department of Histology and Embryology at Zagreb University School of Medicine, and Head of Section for Neurogenetics, Medical Genetics, and Regenerative Neuroscience at Croatian Institute for Brain Research in Zagreb, Croatia. His research connects the fields of neuroscience, embryology and molecular imaging. His current scientific interest is brain repair (in particular after stroke) and its relation to neuroinflammation and stem cell applications. Subsequently, he organized a preclinical research platform to address the mouse stroke model and the time sequence of damage and brain repair processes using in vivo imaging using magnetic resonance and bioluminescence. Together with his main research activities in biomedicine, he is engaged in an interdisciplinary research on digital society. He is one of the founders of Navigating Knowledge Landscapes international interdisciplinary network (http://knowledge-landscapes.hiim.hr), which deals how innovative knowledge is communicated in the digital society.
