The UP MoonBike cycling challenge participants broke last year’s record and reached the moon in 55 days. The challenge started on 15 May.
The more than 400 cyclists from 9 countries, from Argentina to India, do not stop at 384,400 kilometres; the challenge continues, the final target is 1,000,000 km.
On the UP MoonBike Facebook page, the University of Pécs is still expecting the kilometres covered, confirmed by a mobile application or a mileage photo.
Among the participants who completed at least 150 km, a cross bicycle and cycling accessories will be drawn.
The extra goals of UP MoonBike 2021 are to educate the high school community about leading a healthy lifestyle, to enrich their community experiences, and to play a role in climate protection. A special competition will be announced for them this year.
During the entire duration of the challenge, the high school student who completes the longest distance will win an Apple MacBook, courtesy of the Diákhitel Központ Zrt.
