Researcher's Night extended with the programs of the UPMS and the Faculty of Pharmacy

9 September 2016

For years, the University of Pécs has been participating in September in the events of the Researchers’ night initiative, which is becoming more and more popular among visitors. This year, the Medical School and the Faculty of Pharmacy are also organizing a wide range of interesting programs in the frame of which different age groups can have an insight into professors’ and researchers’ work. Locations of the open day are the main building of the Medical School, the Szentágothai Research Centre and the Rókus street campus building of the Faculty of Pharmacy.

The Teddy Bear Hospital awaits the little ones, while the activities of the Department of Anatomy, Physiology, Microbiology, Biophysics and Pharmacology will be introduced for the older generation. The most adventurous can visit the Department of Forensic Medicine and are also welcome to take part in the reanimation course of the recently opened new MediSkillsLab of the Uni.

Scientific presentations can be heard in the Dean’s meeting room by experienced researchers and primary school students, whereas in the aula visitors will be invited to consult with experts on health care and prevention as well as breastfeeding. Various medical screenings and tests will be also available there for interested candidates.
