COVID VACCINATION FOR STUDENTS

13 January 2021

Dear Students!

The University of Pécs Clinical Centre has started administering SARS CoV-2 vaccination for healthcare workers on 31 December, according to the regulations of the National Public Health Centre (NNK).

According to the advice of the National Public Health Centre, the first to be vaccinated will be those working in healthcare. Therefore, it is important to note that this advice includes medical students and other students studying other fields of healthcare in the group of healthcare workers.

You are hereby notified that our students are eligible for the COVID-19 mRNS vaccine (Pfizer/BioNTech) on a voluntary basis at the university, free of charge.

Vaccination is possible on Friday, Saturday and Sunday this week (15-17 January, 2021). Appointments can be booked through the links below, latest by 14 January, 2021, Thursday, until 14:00.

Location of the vaccination: 7623 Pécs, Rét utca 2. Rehabilitation Centre, ground floor.

Please make sure to be present at the date of your appointment. If you are unable to attend vaccination due to unforseen circumstances (vis major), please notify our vaccination coordinator (Zsuzsanna Hegedűs) between 8am and 4pm on the 06309199271 phone number. Those eligible for the vaccine have to submit a declaration of consent and epidemiology at the location of the vaccination. Please take the filled declaration and your passport with you to your appointment. The date on the form should be the date of the vaccination. The necessary forms can be downloaded here.

Hungarian students have to provide their TAJ number, international students (if they do not have a TAJ number) their Neptun/EHA code when scheduling an appointment. Every citizen over 18, who has not been proven to be infected with COVID-19 in the last three months (regardless if they had symptoms or not) are eligible for the vaccine. Those who were infected in the Spring wave of SARS CoV-2 are also eligible. Students who have participated, or are participating in volunteering activities should contact EHÖK with their request for vaccination.

We will send you additional vaccination dates later, so we are asking those who could not register this time to be patient until more vaccines arrive.

Best regards,

Dr. Miklós Nyitrai
