Thematik

The aim of the course is introducing students interested in cardiology into the world of arrhythmias in more detail, to acquire a deeper knowledge of cardiac electrophysiology. The course provides a detailed overview of the indications for invasive electrophysiology and pacemaker / ICD, the tools required for cardiac catheterization and pacemaker implantation, and the procedures for catheter ablation and pacemaker implantation. During the course, students will have the opportunity to observe catheter positioning, ablation treatment and femoral vein puncture in the electrophysiology lab. The main goal of the course is to understand and put into practice the modern, instrumental treatment of arrhythmias.
