Topic
Biophysics deals with the physical background of biological processes at all organised levels: molecular, cellular and organic levels. Therefore, biophysics is one of the important pillars of basic medical knowledge.
The course gives you an overview of the basic physical concepts, necessary relationships and laws that you can use for a better understanding of biophysics. Physics has a large amount of mathematics, so the course provides a mathematical summary on equations, functions, vectors and statistics.
Tematics for 12 weeks:
1. introduction, mathematical basics
2. rectilinear and circular motions
3. momentum, forces
4. energy, energy conservation, work, power
5. rigid bodies
6. vibrations and waves
7. thermodynamics
8. electric field
9. magnetic field
10. optics
11. atomic physics, nuclear physics
12. test
