Topic

Emerging technologies like 3D scanning and 3D printing are widely available these days, thanks to the technological advancements. In forensic medicine, the main applications are the documentation of cases, preparation of educational material and case presentation at courts.
During the first part of the class (3*90 minutes) we will discuss the principle of different 3D scanning and 3D printing technologies. During the second part of the class, student will be able to try their skills in practice by preparing their own projects. Students are encouraged to bring their own ideas, but a list of available projects will be shared as well.
At the end of the course, students will be expected to have the understanding of the workflow and have the basic skills to produce 3D models of scans. These skills later could be used in research or even in the daily routine.
