Topic
The goal of the course is to get students more familiar with "chemistry as a foreign language". In addition to the seminars of the main course "Medical Chemistry", this course aims to provide an additional opportunity to practice and discuss basic chemistry concepts. Furthermore, we would like to help develop the chemical calculation, formula writing, and structure drawing skills that will be very helpful in their later studies and, to some extent, in medical practice as well.
The course is especially useful to students who have arrived at the university with less solid chemistry knowledge.

Conditions for acceptance of the semester
The required tests must be accomplished in each of the four skills.
Mid-term exams
During the semester, students must prove the possession of four skills:
1) Establishing, naming, and writing chemical formulas
2) Simple concentration calculations (consisting of one calculation step)
3) Drawing conclusions based on chemical equilibrium, Le Chatelier. During the semester, students are required to demonstrate proficiency in four key skills:
1) Establishing, naming, and writing chemical formulas.
2) Performing simple concentration calculations that involve only one calculation step.
3) Drawing conclusions based on chemical equilibrium, Le Chatelier's principle, and basic reaction kinetics.
4) Conducting pH calculations, as well as qualitative and quantitative analyses of the buffer effect.ier's principle and elementary reaction kinetics
4) pH calculations, qualitative and quantitative applications of the buffer effect
Making up for missed classes
