Topic

The course examines the genetic, epigenetic, and cellular mechanisms underlying tumorigenesis, with particular emphasis on the dysregulation of signaling networks and the functional consequences of oncogene and tumor suppressor gene mutations. Students will gain insight into the interactions among molecular mechanisms, their network-level organization, and their clinical relevance. Special attention is given to recent advances in the field, the role of the tumor microenvironment, molecular heterogeneity, and the mechanistic basis of targeted and precision therapies. The course aims to enable students to interpret the complex processes of cancer development from a systems-level perspective and to apply the acquired knowledge in their further studies.
