Topic
The course “Exercise Prescription” aims to equip future physicians, healthcare professionals with the knowledge and skills to understand the preventive and therapeutic role of physical activity and to design personalized exercise programs for various health conditions. This 12-session interactive program introduces the concept of exercise prescription, WHO and ACSM guidelines, and the physiological foundations of physical activity. Students will explore the role of exercise in cardiovascular, metabolic, musculoskeletal, oncological, and immunological diseases, as well as in pediatric and geriatric populations. The course emphasizes behavior change strategies, motivational interviewing, and practical skill development. Through hands-on gym sessions and case-based exercises, participants will learn how to create evidence-based exercise prescriptions that can be effectively integrated into clinical practice as a powerful tool for prevention and treatment.
