Children who play or are new to sport are at risk of many injuries due to their age and the specific stresses of the sport. It is important for to-be doctors to be aware of the functional and anatomical characteristics of this age group that may lead to injury, as well as the diagnostic, therapeutic and preventive possibilities for different types of injuries.
