Topic
The course briefly summarizes major areas of agricultural biotechnology (including plant-, animal- and food biotechnology). Provides detailed knowledge on biotechnological methods applied in horticulture and animal husbandry, and also microbiology procedures involved in fermentation technology. There is focus on the technical, economic and legal issues of genetically modified organisms. The course briefly discusses environmental biotechnology relevant to agriculture (water and soil waste management). Graduates will have elevated chances on the labor-market and higher education for a master degree, towards academic and industrial directions.
