The surgery room of the Medical Skills Education and Innovation Centre will be made more interesting for a week starting on November six by roots. In collaboration with the teaching team of The Isle Academy (the first minimal-invasive surgery simulation centre in Central and Eastern Europe), the Pécs Medical School will install two complete DaVinci robot surgery systems and a simulation console to assist practice in the centre, integrating the basics of robotic surgery training into gradual surgery education – making them one of the first to do so in Europe.
The students of the Pécs Medical School will have the opportunity during this week to get to know and try out the most modern current surgery equipment. The leading provider of robotic surgical training programmes in several European countries, the Isle Academy's comprehensive robotic surgical training programs also provide a great opportunity for modern technology to meet student creativity, giving trainees a behind-the-scenes look at robotic surgery.
UP students and employees could already meet the DaVinci Xi surgery robot back in May, and they all thought that being able to try out this new technology was an amazing experience.
