Topic
The oral cavity and its state of health are an integral part of the human body as a whole and its health. Dental and oral mucosal diseases interact with other pathological conditions in the body. The most common cause of focal disease is dental. Periodontal disease affects diabetes, osteoporosis, cardiovascular disease, preterm birth, inflammatory bowel disease, however, these diseases also affect the condition of the periodontium. The oral mucosa is a sensitive indicator of many internal and dermatological diseases, and oral mucosal lesions often precede other symptoms. The aim of the course is to provide a detailed overview of these contexts. We recommend the subject to all prospective general practitioners, dermatologists, internists and surgeons.
