Topic

The aim of this subject is to teach the pathomechanism of periodontal diaseases as well as clinical diagnosis, treatment planning of periodontal diseases and establishing the prognosis of teeth. Patient presentation and instrument knowledge are part of the exam

Conditions for acceptance of the semester

Participation on the lectures and practices is mandatory. There is no chance for make-up classes. Being late from classes is not allowed, the student has to be present on the whole of the class. Proof of absences is necessary. Up to 15% of lectures or practices can be missed. The course director shall decide on the acceptance of th absence between 15% and 25%.

Mid-term exams

Code of Studies and Examinations Annex 2. Article 4. (6) The leader of the practice shall have the right to exclude a student from bedside practice (class) in case of any unpreparedness endangering the health of the patient. Exclusion from the given practice shall qualify as uncertified absence.
