Topic
The basics of developing good doctor-patient communication. Elements of meeting, greeting, interviewing, and farewell. Verbal and non-verbal communication. Ethical foundations of communication. Effective medical communication plays an important role in the range of practical skills and attitudes, which is a fundamental condition for developing a good doctor-patient relationship. Watching and mastering the online video material prepared by the Institute is a condition for starting the practice.
Day 1: introduction of the team, presentation of the practice, the place and role of medical students in the office
Day 2: introduction, practice of greetings, getting to know patients and their problems, overview of administration, practice of patient management, latent learning, collection of somatometric data
Day 3: preparation of the first interview: reason for the patient's visit, current complaints, basic data, living environment
Day 4: preparation of the second interview, evaluation of the interview. Observation of telemedical care.
Day 5: summary and evaluation of the experiences of the one-week practice

Conditions for acceptance of the semester
It is possible to complete the medical communication summer practice in an accredited adult/mixed family medicine teaching practice.
A list of teaching practices can be found on the website of the Institute of Primary Health Care (Accredited tutors) and on the www.reny.hu n portal.
The Acceptance Letter signed and stamped by the teaching family doctor must be uploaded to the NEPTUN interface by the end of the academic period, which can also be found on the Institute's website.
It is possible to complete the practice only with the permission of the Head of the Department.
At a given time, 1 student can complete their internship with 1 tutor. To accept the practice, two Interview Forms, as well as the Evaluation Form for tutors and Evaluation Form for student must be uploaded to the NEPTUN system after the practice period. The practice completed in the given year will be accepted.
The practice can be completed in June, July or August.
