Topic

The practice with a GP (5 days/week x 6 hours/day x 1 week= 30 hours) can be completed in the praxis of the doctors.
1st day:Introduction of the team Introduction of the praxis The role and the place of the students in the office The different situations in the office
2nd day: Practice of the greetings and the introduction The most common problems of the patients Methods of the administration Collection of the main symptoms Evaluation of the symptoms Basic physical eximinations
3rd day: First interview Present complaints Living circumstances Risks Medical history Summary of the problems Evaluation of the first interview3rd day: First interview Present complaints Living circumstances Risks Medical history Summary of the problems Evaluation of the first interview
4th day: Visiting the patient at home Evaluation of the experiences.
5th day: Second interview Evaluation of the interview Evaluation and summary of the program Feedback (Evaluation form for the student and the mentor). We cannot accept a practice that took place in previous years but was not properly administered!

Conditions for acceptance of the semester

Summer practice in Medical Communication Skills can only be completed at accredited GP’s office for adults.
List of accredited Hungarian family practices is available at the homepage of the Institute.
A Declaration of Acceptance signed by the chosen GP must be uploaded to NEPTUN till the end of term-time.
The practice can only be begun with the permission of the Head of Department. At a given time period, only one student can be present at the tutor’s (GP’s) office. In order to have the practice accepted, you need to complete and upload to NEPTUN 2 interview forms, as well as two evaluation forms (one from the student and one from the doctor) 3 days after the completion of the practice. The required forms can be downloaded from the website of the Department of Primary Health Care. The practice can be completed abroad or at Hungarian GP’s office accredited by the University.

We accept practice completed in the actual school year.
