Topic

The subject is intended to reveal the anatomic, physiologic, pathophysiologic and pathologic background of the gynecologic diseases, moreover it aims to explain the etiology, symptoms, diagnosis, differential diagnosis and the treatment options of them. During the course, the congenital anomalies of the genital tract, the normal and the abnormal ovulatory cycle, the bleeding disorders, benign and malignant gynecologic tumors, pelvic inflammatory diseases, and endometriosis will be discussed in detail. Pelvic floor disorders will also be interpreted. Similarly, reasons and the diagnostic procedures of both male and female infertility will be covered. Modern contraceptive methods will also be explored. The main goal of the subject is to convey fundamental gynecologic knowledge to medical students necessary for general practitioners.
