Topic

The subject provides students with fundamental knowledge in obstetrics and gynecology inevitable for medical professionals performing dentistry. Students gain insight into physiological and anatomical aspects, as well as symptoms, diagnostic measures and therapeutic options of the most important obstetrical and gynecological pathologies. Beyond that they will establish basic knowledge of the physiology and process of labour, lactation, practical aspects of maternity ward care and care for the neonate. Goal is to help students gather basic knowledge and experiences in obstetrics and gynecology necessary for a dental medicine practitioner.
