Marble plaques for Physiology professors

The Pécs Medical School puts a lot of emphasis on preserving the memory of our forebearers, of renown professors. Therefore, three memorial plaques were inaugurated on November 4, 2022, on the 80^th anniversary of the death of dr. Mihály Pekár, at the entrance of the Physiology Department in the Grastyán Endre Theoretical Block.

The bronze images show the faces of dr. Mihály Pekár, the dean who moved the Erzsébet University to Pécs, dr. Kálmán Lissák, the funder of neuroendocrine and neurophysiology research, and dr. Endre Grastyán world-famous neurobiologist. The staff of the Physiology Department also praised the life and work of their forebearers during the ceremonial unveiling.
