MÉT 86th Meeting

11 June 2024

Institute of Physiology report

Organized by the Hungarian Physiological Society (MÉT) and the Hungarian Microcirculatory and Vascular Biology Society (MMVBT), the 86th meeting of the MÉT was held in Debrecen between May 29 and 31, 2024, which is one of the most important national meetings of theoretical medicine. Following the tradition of MÉT's traveling meetings, when creating the scientific program, it was kept in mind that the entire spectrum of physiologically oriented research would be given space. The main goal of the conference was to understand the physiological regulatory mechanisms and pathological processes, to explore their reversal possibilities, to present the latest results of cell and molecular physiology, molecular biology, immunology, microcirculation research, and translational research.

Our colleagues represented our institute with presentations and posters.

  • Dr. Rita Gálosi: How do we establish evidence-based medicine? Medical practice and physiological practices in Pécs
  • Dr. Eszter Mikó-Baráth: Round table discussion based on the presentations and guided questions
  • Kitti Szabó-Guth: Reliability of visual acuity examination in cases of reduced visual acuity - comparative analysis
  • Dr. István Szabó: Optimizing the childhood amblyopia screening system: exploring the ideal stereo vision test combinations using a Perceptron model
