Dear Students,
with the fourth wave of the coronavirus pandemic, the number of cases is increasing in Hungary as well. The delta variant is spreading rapidly and can cause serious illness. Therefore, we would like to remind you that the protection of vaccination might lessen after a few months. This is true for every vaccine, which is why it is important to take the booster shot for those who were vaccinated early.
We would like to ask all of our students to take the third shot, if possible. Hungarian students can do so at their GP and at the Vaccination Centre; for international students can go to the Vaccination Centre. Registration is advised, but not mandatory. The Vaccination Centre can be visited without registration, but this might mean that you will have to wait a bit longer.
Registration is possible:
- on the vakcinainfo.gov.hu/registration website.
Location of the vaccination: UP CC Rákóczi street Vaccination Centre (Pécs, Rákóczi st 2, entrance from Garay street).
Taking the third shot as soon as possible is advised, but colleagues of the Vaccination Centre will be awaiting everyone during the National Vaccination Week – without registration – between November 22-28, 2021, every day between 7am and 7pm.
Who can get the third shot?
Those students whose second shot was taken at least 4 months ago. Please take the papers about your previous vaccinations with you (vaccination certificates).
What do I need to take with me?
- personal documents (passport);
- filled declarations;
- vaccination certificate.
Aside from taking the vaccine, it is also important to adhere to safety regulations and take extra care with our and each other’s health with the observation of general safety and hygiene protocols, social distancing and the compulsory mask wearing.
Best regards,
Staff of the Student Service Department
