Thematik

Emergency rheumatology focuses on the rapid treatment of sudden, severe musculoskeletal and autoimmune complaints. This includes, for example, the treatment of acute arthritis, gout attacks with severe pain, or rapidly deteriorating inflammatory conditions. The goal is to relieve symptoms that impair quality of life as soon as possible and prevent permanent damage. During emergency care, rapid diagnostic tests, such as laboratory and imaging tests, are often needed. Treatment initiated at the right time can significantly improve the patient's outlook and recovery. The course plans to introduce students to the recognition, diagnosis, and treatment of these in more depth.
