Carla Schreiber
Hello! I’m Carla Schreiber from sunny South Africa.
I’m a 2nd year General Medicine student in the English program. I’ve been in Pécs since 2021, so its safe to say I’ve been through a lot of the things you may be going through now. From having the best time and forming relationships, to failing exams and wondering: “What now?”. The highest highs and the lowest lows, I’ve faced them all.
The one thing I’ve learned from all of this is that you shouldn’t be afraid to ask for help if you need it, no matter how small the problem. There is someone out there that will be able to help and support you. I’m part of the Peer program to be that person. So, feel free to reach out with anything that you might be struggling with, be it study related or personal matters.
Also, don’t forget, that being successful in your studies is about finding balance, not just sitting in front of a textbook all day.
Sulics Laura
I’m Laura Sulics, a 5th year general medicine student in the Hungarian program, and I’ve been an
active member of the Peer program since 2022.
I belive no other university can oer the same special feeling as a medical school. You’ll cry and laugh together, suer “just a bit” during exam periods, but once you overcome the challenges,
you’ll soar! Countless opportunities will come your way if you make the most of your time here. I also had the chance to gain wonderful experiences, as I spent one month in Germany and
another in Thailand as part of an exchange program. I want to share the knowledge and
experiences I’ve gained over the years so others can also enjoy and benefit from the
opportunities I had.
I believe that there is only one way to successfully complete medical school: a lot of
perseverance!
(And sometimes, you can’t do it alone.) I know it's not easy to get this far, but it's worth it. That's what I would like to help you with.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact me on Facebook or Instagram and and I’ll do my best to help you!
Szijártó Máté
Hey! My name is Máté, and I'm currently in my third year of the Biotechnology BSc course. I was part of the first ever year from this course here in the Faculty of Pharmacy, which means I personally had to go through a lot of hardships concerning our malleable studies, without any aid from peers; this is exactly what I don't want others to experience. I lived my entire life here in Pécs, and I know it like the palm of my hand, meaning I can give you a lot of tips for getting to know the city, its cultural heritage, and the night life. If you want someone to lend you an ear, guide you around either the maze of the Code of Studies or the possibilities here in Pécs, I'm here!
Takler Kristóf
I am Kristóf Takler, fifth year medical student. I applied to the Peer Program because I want to help as many as you as possible to get used to university life and the challenges posed by medical studies. I have been a member of the HOCS since my first year. There we are working to increase the quality of education at the faculty, to ensure that students are comfortable at the University. Therefore I am familiar with all operative tasks a student can face: from educational tasks to scholarships and using Neptun. Since I also live in a dormitory, I can give you answers regarding dorms as well. If you happen to have a personal issue, or just want to talk to someone, feel free to reach out.
Thanh Vinh
Hallo, liebe Abenteurer!

I’m someone who understands how tough it can be to balance everything, and I’m always happy to chat—whether it’s about sports, finding the best leisure activities around Pécs, or handling more practical matters like Neptun issues and official tasks (such as health insurance or setting up a bank account). If you ever feel uncertain about your social life or just want some tips on the best spots in the city, feel free to reach out. I believe that asking for help is a strength, and I’m here to make your experience easier and more enjoyable.
