Topic

Anthropocene is a proposed geological epoch. Human impact has become so significant to the ecosystem, that we are experiencing global problems in our present. This course is focusing on the most important environmental pollutants of the previous century and our days (pesticides, microplastics, radiation, medicine, etc.). The connection of the pollutants, nature and human health effect is emphasized. The course helps the deeper understanding of Public Health 3 (Environmental Health) for general doctors and dentists. The material of the course was built with a pharmacist approach, focusing on pharmacology and toxicology. The course is highly recommended for pharmacists. Competences: environmental health, environmental epidemiology, pharmacology, (eco)toxicology, ecology.
