Topic

The aim of the course is to introduce the students to the individual steps of clinical research and to give them the opportunity to practice some of the tasks of research design and analysis. The course will cover the steps of selecting a relevant research topic, writing a research protocol, data collection, data analysis and background literature search by describing the process of a clinical research study as an example. The course will be particularly useful for students interested in clinical epidemiological research opportunities in cancer and may also provide useful knowledge for students involved in undergraduate research work or writing a thesis. The classes will be held as four joint-classes, each consisting of two lectures and one practical class.
