Topic

The endocannabinoid system was named a little over 30 years ago. Its primary role in the control of homeostasis was seen even then. The initial model has now been taken to a new scale. More cannabinoid receptors and more endocannabinoids have been discovered, and the function of the molecular network system itself is more complex than initially thought. Individual molecular interactions have become intertwined, and several new aspects of the nature of the forces controlling homeostasis have emerged, involving not only the canonical endocannabinoid system.

The lectures have been designed to provide a better understanding of homeostasis and to inform about the latest interdisciplinary models in addition to the most recent research findings.
