Topic

In the field of clinical neurology, psychology has played a major role in recent decades in diagnostics, rehabilitation and improving patients' quality of life and doctor-patient compliance. Many neurological diseases, such as Parkinson's disease, SM, stroke, epilepsy or dementias, can cause not only physical but also cognitive, emotional and behavioural changes.

The seminar will focus on the psychological components of these neurological diseases, both from a diagnostic and therapeutic perspective. The course will provide a broader theoretical and practical insight into the role of the psychologist working in the neurology department, involving psychodiagnostics, crisis intervention, supportive therapy and neurocognitive testing tools.
