As a result of the successful “Infrastructure and Skill Development of Practice Oriented Higher Education Courses” tender, the University of Pécs is able to buy a surgery robot.
Based on the contract with the supplier, the first surgeries might be conducted this year.
The planned location of the surgery robot is the Clinical Centre Janus Pannonius Clinical Block, where the gynaecology, surgery, urology, otolaryngology and heart surgery profession’s highest level robotic operations happen.
This means, that Pécs can be the first university outside of Budapest to be the next base in the national robotic surgery program.
