Topic

The aim of this course is to introduce students interested in cardiology to the intricate world of arrhythmias, providing them with a comprehensive understanding of cardiac electrophysiology. Throughout the course, participants will delve into detailed discussions covering the indications for invasive electrophysiology, pacemaker/ICD implantation, as well as the essential tools and techniques utilized in cardiac catheterization and device implantation procedures. Furthermore, students will have the unique opportunity to observe firsthand the intricacies of catheter positioning, ablation techniques, and femoral vein puncture in the electrophysiology lab. Additionally, they may choose to participate as observers during device implantation procedures.

The primary objective of this course is to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to engage in the modern, instrumental treatment of arrhythmias effectively.
