Topic
The course is aimed at medical/dental students, introducing the achievements and possibilities of investigation, criminal justice and modern forensic sciences. It develops "forensic vigilance", i.e. it focuses on the recognition, management, preservation and documentation of crime signs and evidence that can be used in the care of the injured in subsequent investigations. It helps to recognise signs of abuse and neglect in people who present for care. Provides insights into the complex work of disaster management, law enforcement and forensic aspects of post-mass casualty response. The course is a frontal education, is achieved through a combination of student group work and practice.
