Topic
This course will explore the importance of prevention in extending human life span. By studying 'Blue Zones' – places where people live longer on average than elsewhere – we will explore the factors that contribute to a long and healthy life. The course will give an insight into the lifestyles of people living in blue zones and examine the nutritional, physical activity, and stress management strategies they use. By the end of the course, students will:
· Understand the role of prevention in maintaining health and longevity.
· Identify the key lifestyle factors that contribute to longevity in Blue Zone residents.
· They can critically evaluate scientific research on nutrition, exercise, and stress management.
· They can develop their own prevention plan for a longer and healthier life.
