Faculty Council

The task of our community is to decide on personal matters concerning the Faculty, proposals for changes in the curriculum and on the operational rules. It also expresses opinions and makes proposals on matters falling within the duties and powers of the Senate and the Rector. The meetings are attended by 30 student members of which the President of the Student Council and the Doctoral Student Council are admitted on a universal basis and 28 people by delegation.

Dean’s Council

The duty of the council is to help the Faculty Council and the Dean as an advisory, proposing and decision-making body that also discusses faculty and university issues. The current President of the Student Council is a member on a universal basis.

Educational Committee

Its main task is to assess applications related to students' academic affairs. The committee authorizes activation and passivation after the registration period, the preferential course schedule, the establishment of a guest student Proof of Enrollment and the transfer of students from another educational institution or faculty. It is also responsible for proposing social-based reimbursement discounts and commenting on applications from university professors, associate professors and heads of departments. The education rapporteur of the Student Council is a member of the committee on a universal basis, and 5 other students are members of the committee by delegation.

Feedback Committee

Its task is to develop and apply methods that provide authentic and up-to-date information on the quality of teaching in faculty institutes and clinics. Based on the results, it suggests development processes to raise the standard. Three students participate in the meetings of the committee by delegation.

Credit Transfer Committee

The committee decides on credit transfer matters according to the student's written request, the applicable law and university regulations. Its duties include re-admission procedures, admission procedures, and the assessment of the legitimacy of credit transfers arising from the crediting of previous studies in other faculties, for which it also seeks the opinion of the lecturer of the given subject. Two students participate in the meetings of the committee by delegation.

Curriculum Committee

Its most important task is to monitor and develop the curricula of the courses, to qualify the subjects and to classify them into optional, elective, compulsory modules, and to define their topics. It offers and accepts courses from the PTE Campus credit package. 1 student participates in the meetings of the committee by delegation.

Quality Development Committee

The task of the committee is to monitor and comment on the quality development policy of the Faculty and to make proposals that follow the quality policy requirements of higher education. The current President of the Student Council is a member on a universal basis.

Committee on International Affairs

The task of the committee is to maintain and develop the international relationships of the Faculty and to establish new partnerships. It oversees the work of the Office of International Relations, which informs students about exchange programs, scholarships and application opportunities abroad, and organizes rotational and summer internships abroad. The President of the Student Council and the Medical Students' Association of Pécs is a member of the committee.

Grants and Scholarships Committee

Its task is to announce the National Higher Education Scholarship application each year, to evaluate and rank the applications, and to carry out the administration related to the application. Three students attend the meetings of the committee by delegation.

Bajnóczky Award Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees decides on the winners, which will be ceremoniously given each year to a student and a lecturer who performs outstanding artistic activities at the Faculty and takes a leading role in the promotion of the arts. One Hungarian and one international student will participate in the meeting of the board of trustees by delegation.

University advocacy

Senate

It is the supreme decision-making body of the University, which has the power of decision-making, commenting, proposing and supervising. It’s president is the Rector, and its members are elected senators from the faculties, the Clinical Centre, and other university units. Ten students of the University Student Council attend the meetings, one is the current president of the Student Council of our faculty. Its responsibilities include decision-making in organizational, management, personnel and educational matters, as well as the awarding of titles and honors.

EHÖK Assembly of Delegates

The decision-making forum of the University Student Council (EHÖK) is the Assembly of Delegates, in which the presidents of the faculty sub-councils and the representatives of the EHÖK participate. It is responsible for deciding on faculty and university-level rule changes, making decisions on personal matters, and approving budgets, as well as providing an opportunity to communicate with the management of the EHÖK.

EHÖK Committee on Studies and Advocacy

The University Student Council includes the study officers of the Faculty Student Councils. Its task is to discuss issues concerning student rights, to develop regulations concerning students, and to comment on draft amendments. It makes recommendations to the various decision-makers and decision-making forums.

New Generation Excellence Program Scholarship Evaluation Committee

The program provides assistance to students who take part in some research or creative activity during their university years. It also offers an excellent opportunity to increase motivation for research work and to improve the quality of research and the availability of results. The members of the committee take part in the evaluation of the applications.

Kriszbacher Ildikó Talent Development Program Scholarship Evaluation Committee

The program provides the opportunity for the development of talented students, and helps the most talented students to become university lecturer and researcher. The faculty’s evaluation committee consists of three members: the Vice-Dean for Science and Education of the Faculty, an instructor with experience in the field of talent management appointed by the Faculty, and a member delegated by the Student Council.
