Tematika

The course provides an introduction to inorganic chemistry for biotechnology students at the beginning of their studies. It enables them to consolidate the knowledge acquired in the compulsory subject and prepares them for further foundational chemistry courses (organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, and biochemistry). The aim of the course is to cover the given topics in detail, progressing in parallel with the Inorganic Chemistry course, thereby supporting a deeper understanding and easier comprehension of the study material.

A félév elfogadásának feltételei

The semester is accepted in accordance with the Study and Examination Regulations of the University of Pécs (PTE). The lectures will be held in a block format; therefore, a maximum of one absence is permitted. During the semester, students are required to complete one written test which is evaluated with a percentage grade. A minimum performance of 50% on the written test is required to obtain the course signature. Students are given one opportunity to retake the midterm test. If a student wishes to obtain a higher grade than the one originally awarded, this may be achieved by repeating the written test.

One midterm written test based on the lecture material.

Távolmaradás pótlásának lehetőségei

There is no possibility to make up missed lectures.

Vizsgakérdések

Based on the completed written test, the Institute assigns the students their final course grade for the semester.
