Thematik

The aim of this course is to familiarize students with the basic methods of biological research, including fluorescence microscopy techniques using epifluorescence and confocal laser scanning microscopy. The basic goal is to introduce the upper-year Bsc students of the University of Pécs to fluorescence microscopy techniques and their practical applications in different fields (e.g. medical research, medical diagnostics, food industry, environmental protection). Following the theoretical introductory lectures, the practical demonstration of confocal imaging microscopes in the centre of Nano-Bio-Imaging will be part of the course.
