Thematik

The course introduces the neuroanatomy and neuroendocrinological background of stress. The stress influences our daily life. The lectures explain the types and duration of stressors and show the differences of stressors' effect. We revise how the stress affects other hormonal systems such as fertility and metabolism. We get an insight into the relationship of stress and dysfunction of central nervous system (cognitive functions loss, mood ans psychiatric disorders). Our aim to introduce the changes in the central nervous system during stress and show those neurobiological alteration tha may initiate the pathophysiology. Our lecturers introduce the repertoire of equipments, methods and animal models in the nowadays stress research. Finally we get an insight into stress related research projects, and newest results which are actual running on our university departments
