Thematik

Clinical Laboratory Investigations is a subject based on a solid knowledge in chemistry, biochemistry and (patho)physiology. It gives a practical guide to understand and interpret a wide variety of modern laboratory tests by showing the molecular basis of them. The subject includes classic (bio)chemical methods, immunochemistry, hematology, blood coagulation, toxicology and molecular biology. The major methodological aspects and applications are discussed during the lectures. The aim of the subject is to give pharmaceutical students a practical knowledge whereby they could reliably interpret basic clinical laboratory results in their routine pratice.
