Tematika
Students completing the course will know the up-to-date developments of the concepts of the genetics field and biotechnology-related genetic applications. Students entering the Biotechnology MSc program are already able to interpret and explain some aspects of the nature of biological variability and genetic processes at a BSc level. The basics of genetics will be briefly repeated with students having different background knowledge. Students will learn about the theoretical background of advanced molecular methods and approaches in the field. A broad methodological spectrum applied in clinical and basic research will be discussed. Lectures will give an up-to-date insight into state-of-the-art applications of genetics, including high throughput technologies, cancer genomics, as well as basic approaches for the analysis of the generated genomic data.
Lectures presented by experts in the field will address relevant problems and challenges of current and future biotechnology. Students will gather a deep understanding and a complex view of modern genetics.
