In this program, we will visit a supermarket to learn about Hungarian ingredients and how to include them in your daily meals. We will also go through different shelves to get to know the importance of specific products regarding their nutritional value. If you have specific questions related to the selection of certain products, bring them along and we will go over them.
Topics that will be covered during the visit:
- Dietetic products and cereals: types of whole grains and noodles. Different types of flours and their uses. Hungarian pasta
- Dairies: different types of cheeses: trappista, cottage cheese (Túró). Plant-based yogurts and drinks. How they can be included in our diet.
- Fruits and veggies: most frequently used veggies and fruits in Hungarian cuisine.
- Meats and processed meats: sausages, cold meats, and fresh meat cuts.
- The benefit of nuts and seeds.
- Spices: paprika in Hungarian cuisine.

*Unfortunately, it often happens that registered participants do not show up at the workshops. This is inconvenient because this way we cannot offer the vacant places to those for whom it would be important to attend. Therefore, please remember that if you do not notify us - at least 24 hours before the workshop date -that you are unable to attend the program, you will not be able to use the services of YourLife @ ÁOK this semester. Thank you for your understanding.
