Even more visitors from all over Hungary joined the Open Day of the Medical School and the Faculty of Pharmacy which was organised on 3 December in the Dr. György Romhányi Aula and also in the new educational and theoretical building at the Medical School. Many stands welcomed students and their parents, where they were able to learn about the training programmes, the work of the institutes, the scientific opportunities and scholarships offered by the Faculties, and they could also meet with student mentors and the representatives of student organisations.
True to traditions, high school students and their parents became familiar with the undergraduate and master's training programmes – General Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy and Biotechnology – through presentations, while the most important details regarding the 2026 admission process was presented during a lecture. Moreover, they also received information about the Pannónia Scholarship Programme and also experienced exciting interactive programmes of the Medical Skills Education and Innovation Centre.
„Online registration already indicated a significant interest in the training programmes. Nearly 1,600 visitors arrived from all over the country, many parents also came, so this is always a pleasure for us. The presentation on the admission procedure and the calculation of points was received by a full house, as this part of the application process is crucial” – said Dr. Zsófia Duga, Head of the Marketing and Communications Department of the Medical School.
She also highlighted that more visitors were interested in the Open Day of the Medical School and the Faculty of Pharmacy than last year as nearly 1,500 visitors came in 2024.
According to the Head of Department, the popularity of the General Medicine programme is permanent, and the interest in Dentistry, Biotechnology and Pharmacy is also increasing. In addition to presenting the training programmes, the lecturers also mentioned that degrees obtained at the Faculties could be used in many ways.
Apart from the professional programmes, visitors could also meet student mentors and representatives of student organisations of the Medical School and the Faculty of Pharmacy.
