Department of Paediatrics receives this year’s WITTY Award

The project submitted by the Department of Paediatrics at the Clinical Centre of the University of Pécs received the highest number of votes in the 2026 well-being competition launched under the Well-Being pillar of the PotePillars strategy at the University of Pécs Medical School. 

The well-being of students and staff is a key priority in the life of any organization, and its importance is even greater at a dynamic faculty. The Well-Being pillar supports initiatives that help preserve physical, mental, and intellectual health, thereby strengthening the resilience of the faculty community. 

The competition aims to showcase initiatives and programs developed by the faculty’s units for the benefit of colleagues, students, and the wider faculty community. It also draws attention to the importance of grassroots well-being activities that can serve as examples for other units. 

A total of 11 applications were submitted ifor the 2026 call. The winner was selected based on votes cast by faculty staff and students during Well-Being Week. 

The project entitled “Medicina Silentium – The Science of Conscious Rest” received the most votes, and the Department of Paediatrics at the Clinical Centre of the University of Pécs will receive the WITTY (Well-Being Initiative of the Year) 2026 Award on March 31 at the Spring Concert.
