We invite you to join the opening ceremony of the exhibition called "Revival of Anatomy".
In the 19th and 20th centuries, before the appearance of modern technology, handdrawn illustrations helped students to better understand the structure and function of the human body. These diagrams were usually drawn or painted on large paper/canvas so that they could be easily seen in a big lecture theatre. With the advent of the overhead projector and later modern projectors, the creation of these old works of art was disappeared. In 2023, the staff of the Department of Anatomy and then Doctoral School of Arts and Sciences decided to try to revive the tradition of drawing that had long characterized the anatomy education. The exhibition offers an insight into the work of students and faculty, showing the organs/organ systems created by the faculty.
